I have been working in the accountancy profession for more than 25 years on accountancy, audit and tax. I started in a City based accountancy practice and then moved to a firm with nationwide branches before recently joining Howard Roth LLP.
Over the years the cliental has varied including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies, limited liability partnerships, groups of companies including multinationals, trusts including pension trusts, solicitors and charities. I have been involved in all aspects of accountancy and tax work, including bookkeeping, VAT processing, payroll processing, accounts preparation, corporate statutory accounts, statutory forms, trust accounts, charity accounts and audit work. This includes work involved with VAT returns, payroll returns, tax returns, corporate tax returns, trust tax returns and charity return together with dealing with enquires and providing further details for Companies House, HM Revenue and Customs and the Charity Commission.
I have covered all range of businesses including for example, flower retailers, taxi drivers, property rental, property development, property trading, investment holding, secondary metals trading including steel traders, doctors, doctors out of hours, chemists, dentists, shopkeeper retail, shoes warehouse and retailer, printing and packaging, label and packaging, architects, property surveyors, restaurants, public houses, solicitors, farms, TV and film productions, and theatre management and theatre productions etc.<strong><u> </u></strong>
During my free time, I enjoy watching movies, and now TV as I remember when the choice was BBC1 or ITV!
